Cat Turnell.

Brooksby lecturer Alex Gray will demonstrate how their living showroom of herbal leys (legumes, grasses and herbs ) are keeping the soil, animals and watercourses healthy.

He will also show how the variety of plants and trees has led to an abundance of insects and wildlife, and how farmers, if they use Regen Ag’s core principles, would have less stress, more time and, crucially, a better bank balance.

“Once I've explained the theory, people say: Why aren't we doing this now? Why isn't this widescale policy?" says Alex. “We all know healthier soil equates to healthier food.”

Guests will meet outside Brooksby Hall from 10am, with the tour commencing at 10.30am. Alex will give attendees a 15 minute talk on the basics of regen ag, before heading out to the fields. The tour will take anywhere between 30 minutes and an hour, depending on questions.

Sturdy footwear is advised. Due to uneven surfaces, this tour will likely prove challenging to those with mobility issues. Due to limited space, we can accommodate a maximum of 25 visitors.

We look forward to seeing you at Brooksby on Tues 22 Aug 2023.
